In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the social media marketing strategy that supports Helly Hansens growth ambitions. You’ll focus on using paid and organic social media channels to drive awareness of the Helly Hansen brand, acquiring and retaining customers.

You’ll work with key internal and externa partners to build capability in our social platforms and create compelling social first stories that maximizes the potential of our brand assets, including ambassadors, events and sponsorship properties.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Helly Hansen's global paid and organic social media strategy
  • Engage customers to build the Helly Hansen brand and drive acquisition and retention
  • Define clear and measurable social media KPIs that support commercial growth targets
  • Evaluate the performance of the channels against these metrics and optimize performance
  • Partner with internal teams and creative agencies to develop best in class social first content
  • Work with Regional and Partnership teams to create sports marketing campaigns that enhance the reach of our ambassadors and partnerships
  • Work with our Community Manager to build the Helly Hansen community & influencer strategy
  • Build deep relationships with social media platforms to identify new opportunities
  • Manage and optimize the sports marketing social media budget
  • Manage the social media agency and third-party platforms for social monitoring and publishing (Smartly, Falcon, Meltwater, Sprout etc)
  • Manage our social media calendar with input from central, regional and local stakeholders
  • Promote social media best practices and build the profile of the channel internally and externally

Organizational structure

Reports to: Senior Manager, Performance Marketing Europe

Location: Oslo, Norway

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3+ in social media management
  • Experience in driving band, acquisition, and retention metrics through social media channels
  • In depth knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and & TikTok
  • A creative thinker who can develop and execute highly engaging social media campaigns
  • Highly organized, managing multiple campaigns/projects at once
  • A team player who can guide and collaborate with different teams across different disciplines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically, while also executing day-to-day responsibilities
  • Agency management experience
  • Experience in using social media tools to manage and analyse channel performance
  • Experience in sports marketing or an interest in skiing or sailing sports is a plus
