Are you our new Senior search engine specialist?

In Norwegian we keep on taking care of our people.

You will collaborate with internal resources like developers, content teams, UX designers, sales- and marketing stakeholders and SEO Manager to ensure seamless implementation of search initiatives.

We are 42 people in our marketing department divided in 4 teams. You will be part of the Media & Campaign Operations team where we are 7 highly skilled professionals handling all paid media activities for Norwegian, ad technology, social media, analysis and research.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads targeting both branded and non-branded terms, to drive traffic, conversions, and revenue growth.
  • Advise on budget allocation between markets and paid search activities (Brand and Generic)
  • Ensure efficient ad spend — improve performance on set KPI's through smart bidding, ad targeting, optimised ad copies and campaign structure.
  • Conduct keyword research, A/B testing on ad copy, landing pages, new product features and bidding strategies.
  • Implement audience segmentation, and geo-targeting strategies to personalize ads based on user behaviour and location.
  • Adapt strategies based on updates from search engines (e.g., Google algorithm changes) to maintain or improve performance.
  • Take advantage of innovative technology like AI and automation together with Media Performance & AdTech Manager and agency to increase efficiency.
  • Track and report regularly on search performance by building and maintaining robust dashboards using Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and third-party tools if necessary.
  • Deliver actionable insights to the digital, content, and commercial teams to continuously optimize the customer journey.
  • Use data insights to inform and refine strategies continuously.
  • Work in a close partnership with SEO Manager to develop strategies that maximises both disciplines.
  • Stay on top of airline and travel industry trends, algorithm updates, tools and evolving search behaviours.

You are our ideal candidate if:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in SEM with at least 2 years in a senior or strategic role.
  • You have proven success managing large-scale international search campaigns (especially in the travel/airline/hospitality sectors).
  • You have proven track record of driving ROI-positive paid search strategies
  • Extensive operational experience in SEM tools (Google Ads, GA4, SA360, Google Search Console).
  • Preferable with solid understanding of attribution models, conversions tracking, and campaign segmentation.
  • You have excellent analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and attribution models.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of how SEO and SEM work together optimising results and ad spend.
  • Experience in the airline, travel, or hospitality industries.
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications.
  • Experience working in multi-market, multi-language paid search campaigns.
  • Clear and fluent written and spoken English (this is non-negotiable)
  • Preferably fluent Norwegian but not a necessity.
