Group Communications works to strengthen Telenor Group’s global reputation by delivering world-class internal and external strategic communication services. The global team runs major reputation projects, advises top management on strategic communication, works with proactive media outreach as well as issues management and crisis communication, and creates content for and manages multiple digital channels for internal and external audiences.

We are now seeking a Telenor Infrastructure PR hustler, creative external storyteller with digital communications skills, a knack for proactive PR and creating the perfect media pitch. Ideally, you understand the intersection of sustainability and how we ensure our passive infrastructure empowers the society of tomorrow. You will join a fun, diverse, supportive, fast-moving team to work on external relations and with colleagues all over the Nordics and Asia as well as be a part of the Telenor Infrastructure management as a trusted advisor and communications expert.

Essential responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, innovative content that appeals to internal & external audiences.
  • Have a 360-communication mindset, including viral ideas for social media.
  • Develop presentations, briefings, Q&As, speaking points and social media content for Telenor Infrastructure Executive - both for external and internal audiences.
  • Support Telenor Infrastructure Executive at conferences, media events and handle related media enquiries.
  • Conduct (social) media training with Management and keep internal spokespeople across a wide variety of topics.
  • Storytelling in various forms; photos, videos, articles, press releases, announcements, social media posts.
  • Support on identifying media opportunities so the team can proactively pitch compelling Telenor stories to media.
  • Build and develop a strong network including media and internal experts/leaders at Telenor HQ as well as in our business units and areas globally.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly and professionally under pressure.
  • Create close working relationships with colleagues in own and other departments and coordinate content communication across internal and external channels.

Qualifications

  • A University degree within Media/Journalism/, Marketing, Public Relations or another similar field.
  • Experience in journalism, media handling or from PR agency can substitute formal education.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Experience with executive communications support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-profile sensitive projects, complex issues, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering expected outcomes in a results-oriented and changing environment with multiple projects and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, including experience using PowerPoint, both in Norwegian and English.
  • A strategic mindset with strong operational and execution capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust-based relationships and support senior management
  • Ability to identify a good story for the right channel & media.
  • Ability to publish content on digital channels.
  • Experience from working in an international environment.
  • Experience in use of social media for PR purposes.
  • Ability to interview, gather information, find good stories to pitch, creative angles, solid writing.
