Telenor Nordics has its own management team and organisation at Fornebu that works closely with management and employees across the four Nordic markets to promote joint opportunities for value creation across the region. We are now seeking a talented communications advisor to enhance our small and efficient communications team. 

As our Communications Advisor, you will help define, develop and align communication initiatives across the Nordics. You will be responsible for creating internal and external engagement by developing creative communication initiatives using a range of digital and visual tools for storytelling.

You will recommend solutions to enhance the communication flow, best practice sharing, and effectiveness across various teams and companies. In this role, you will also ensure the development and execution of communication plans related to Telenor’s and our executives’ social media presence, our internal communication platforms, and for relevant projects. The communications advisor is responsible for managing our editorial calendar to ensure clear and consistent communication so proactivity is a must. 

The role will support the Nordic Vice President, Communications in daily coordination towards Nordic management, the Telenor Group, our Nordic companies, and other internal and external stakeholders. This role will primarily focus on internal communication, but there will be elements of external work.

Some of the main responsibilities: 

  • Support the development of the Nordic communication plan and take the lead in creative content development for social media, intranet, and other channels, such as Telenor.com.

  • Overall responsibility for internal engagement (including content planning and coordination) for Telenor Nordics, as editor of internal communication channel(s). 

  • Use a range of digital tools for creative communication for internal and external channels. This includes photography and video recording/editing, creating infographics, and copywriting.

  • Ensure a birds-eye view on Communication in the Nordics to identify communication needs, find optimal solutions, and help implement solutions. 

  • Develop presentations, briefings, Q&As, speaking points and social media content for executives.

  • Track communication metrics, prepare evaluation reports, and provide recommendations for improving communication effectiveness to the VP. 

  • Recommend and test emerging technology for communication, such as platforms/tools or analytical tools, to enhance communication flow and monitor communication effectiveness.

  • Create close working relationships with colleagues in our own and other units, as well as other companies within Telenor.

  • Serve as Nordic communications representative in key internal change management projects. 

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have the following qualifications: 

  • Higher education within media, communications, journalism, or other relevant studies. 

  • Preferably 1-3 years of operational experience in communication. 

  • A strong pen and experience with storytelling in various formats: photos, videos, articles, press releases, announcements, social media posts, and can use the latest digital tools for it.

  • You identify a good story for the right channel & media.

  • Ability to create and execute communications plans and complex projects, while also managing short-term ad-hoc deliveries.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust-based relationships and support senior management. 

  • Proficient in written and spoken English. Proficient Norwegian/Swedish/Danish is also preferred.

  • Experience from complex organisation, preferably in an international environment is a bonus.

Some travel in the Nordic countries will be required.
