Hurtigruten søker Media and Communications Advisor
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Media and Communications Adviser to manage our external and internal communications output for Hurtigruten Group.

The candidate we are looking for is a highly motivated communicator with enviable storytelling capabilities, who can bring Hurtigruten Group’s overarching corporate messages to life through writing, design, and video / audio across owned and earned channels. You will contribute to shaping our strategic communications plan and identify global opportunities to help strengthening the Hurtigruten Group brand around the world.

You will play an important role in helping communicate our mission effectively, build our brand and fulfill our ambitious growth plans.
You will report directly to the VP of Group Communication
Responsibilities
- Write and edit lively and compelling press releases, opinion pieces, blog and social media posts, press releases, key messages, financial results
- Create and edit inspirational Group content and film and edit video for CEO and other members of the Executive Management Team Work in close cooperation with internal stakeholders on different internal communications activities (townhall meetings, CEO internal video posts, SoMe content.
- Collaborate with other communication colleagues in Hurtigruten Expeditions and Hurtigruten Norway and Sales and Marketing on how best to tell stories and present our facts using design, photo, graphics, audio and video
- Help organize initiatives and plan internal or big-ticket external Group events
- Liaise with global media and handle requests for interviews, statements and pitch interview opportunities
- Provide crisis communications counsel to Executive Management Team when required
Qualifications
You have experience in communications and media in a global setting, are comfortable using a range of channels to target audiences and able to manage stakeholder relationships. You are able to write accurate and inspiring copy, generate new ideas and are visionary in your approach to social media. You know the latest sustainability trends and keep up to date with news and travel culture.
Furthermore you have:
- Experience in video and content production including knowledge of photo and video-editing software is a huge asset
- Creative thinker with demonstrated success in implementing out-of-the-box content ideas
- Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple priorities, projects and internal/external resources in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and adhering to quality standards
- Strong drive, creative flare, flexible and global mindset essential
- Outstanding organizational, project management and administrative planning abilities
- Fluent English speaker/written skills. Norwegian language skills also required.
- Bachelor degree in media, journalism, public relations, communications or relevant field
Key skills and attributes
- Five + years’ experience in media and communication
- Are eager to develop themselves, explore and learn new things - that they actively share with those around them
- Are extremely ‘hands on’ and enjoy a dynamic workplace where priorities and needs change
- Understand the global media landscape and other channels for communicating stories about Hurtigruten Group and travel
- Takes responsibility for execution, are highly operational and agile in their work approach
