About the position:
Position Type: Full time
Location: Norway
Application deadline: December 31st
About employer:
Vivaldi is a independent browser company based in Norway and Iceland.
We believe the web is for exploring, and that browsing should help you to discover and chase ideas. It should light up your brain.
This isn't a reactive PR job. We
compete against companies with trillion-dollar marketing budgets. That’s why
you must thirst for creativity and want to challenge not only us, but also
yourself. You’ll be an integral part of a team building a movement, not
just a user base.
What will you do?
You'll write the stories that get quoted.
Help Manage the shitstorms when we call out monopolistic bullshit.
Find new ways to connect with potential users.
Go to Iceland to see volcanoes.
Work with a global audience.
In short: Make noise. Make it
matter. Make Big Tech PR teams have a bad day.
Who are we?
We’re the people behind the only Norwegian browser, Vivaldi. An independent,
employee-owned company fighting Big Tech for a better web.
The browser is the most powerful
tool on your computer and it's where you spend most of your time. Yet most
people use browsers designed to extract value from them, not for them.
We built Vivaldi differently.
What we're NOT looking for:
Corporate speak enthusiasts
"Best practices" from the SaaS marketing playbook
Anyone who thinks brand safety means never taking risks
Anyone who's never rage-quit a Big Tech product
Anyone who struggles to differentiate a browser from a search engine
What we ARE looking for:
Someone in Norway
Someone who can write. Not "professional communications" write. WRITE write
Someone who understand why privacy isn't paranoia
Someone who’s got opinions and the spine to defend them
Track record doesn't have to be long, but it has to be real
To apply: It's up to you to decide how you want to
articulate your application, creativity is highly rewarded. The only formal
document we want is your CV.
